if you go chasing rabbits, and you know your going to fall

So anyway, almost living in a box when it comes to trends and internet, I just recentley discovered the Huffington Post which is like my new favorite place to get up-to date information. It has like everything including omgnomotherfuckingway NEW PICTURES FOR TIM BURTON'S ALICE IN WONDERLAND IN 3-D.
NO WAI.

Oh hai there Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter.
Jeez, I sweaar to god, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are boyfriends. Depp is pree much in every movie Burton has done. But I am loving the look, (besides the orange hair. Like ew.)The top hat looks su-weet. It looks golden, but covered in lace and punctured with all manner of things, including the classic 10/6 paper. And I really want that bowtie, it looks like skulls but I think it's just a floral print. OMGSOMINDBLOWING ALL READY! (I feel like dressing up as him, it would be a great Halloween costume)

Of course, Helena Bonham Carter is in it as well. She's almost in all the movies Burton directs (makes sense since they are married)(which remnds me of this photoshoot I've seen of them in that is based after Roald Dahl) as much as Depp, but noooooooot as much. Do I smell an affair. I think I do.
Not much to say about her costume design... the Photoshopping in this picture it a bit more obvious.

Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, that was a surprise to me. I've come to realize that Anne is very dextrous (is that the word) in her acting. She's done the widest array of characters: Ella Enchanted, whats-her-face from The Devil wears Prada and the alcoholic sister in Rachel getting Married. She's just so talented.

I don't really know who the White Queen is though... I only know the Disney version of Alice, as well as only a few chapters of the actual book. *Borderline ADD hooray* She is more like the Blonde Queen at the moment except for THOSE EYEBROWS. DYE THOSE EYEBROWS GURL.

Anyway, I'm super excited for the movie which comes out in 2010... which suuuuuuuucks. I hate waiting. I'm looking forward to how the story will be Burtonized. I hope there is plenty of Gothic Lolitaness, cuz I'm currently obsessed with it and Alice in Wonderland is the perfect inspiration for it.

Now I know the soundtrack is most likely going to be all written originally but here are some songs I'd like to hear for the movie. The just seem to fit the Wonderland mindset.
  1. Nightswimmer by Beth Jeans Houghton feat. Adem.
  2. Daydreamer by Patrick Watson
  3. Coat Check Dream by Bright Eyes
  4. What Are You Waiting For? by Gwen Stefani (ahaha how could you not, the video is based off of Alice in Wonderland)
  5. What's A Girl to Do? by Bat for Lashes (or something by her, she is surreal but dark)
  6. If Panic at the Disco did a song for this like they did for Nightmare Before Christmas, that would be a dreeeeeam come true. Their Pretty. Odd. album almost fits the atmosphere
These are pretty much never gonna happen but I can dream?
I hope someone like Bruno Coulais (Coraline) or Jan A.P Kaczmarek (Finding Neverland) does the soundtrack. I love the sound tracks they did for their respective moments, and I think their styles combined would be perfect for the movie.

I'm gonna go check who is doing the soundtrack, maybe it's up :O
Till nextie!
